“I really wanted my son to be seen by this facility but I kept getting the run around about intake vs. sessions. My son has Medicaid and I called about changing providers, confirming they will pay for 24 sessions a year and just contact them if we need more. A New You says I will have to pay 125 for his first intake visit, then his insurance will cover the following sessions because he was seen by someone else previously. I call First Choice back and ask if there is a pre authorization so we can change providers. NO. My son is covered by any provider who accepts his coverage. But...we DO NOT have an appointment because of how the appointment is being coded in their office. Do they just want my cash or are they misinformed how to process the claim? Either way another system is failing Our Young Black Men.”
