“I highly recommend The Healing Place. Lisa Anderson is a compassionate and understanding therapist. I have been seeing Lisa for the last two years and It is the one of best decision I had for my life. The administration staff members are warm and welcoming. Also, the environment is tranquil.”

“This is not a good place. They require you to sign up online and put in all of your info, they will say someone will get back to you, however that is not the case. I was given a confirmation email with a time and date of an appointment . Again, no communication on their behalf, I showed up to my appointment only to be greeted by a receptionist who didn’t even look up from her screen. Then she told me my appointment was never confirmed because they canceled it without my notice. When I asked why, the receptionist just gave me a blank stare and said their system or something about a portal and that I was never approved for therapy and someone should have contacted me, so here I am, anticipating an appointment and the therapists are not even there. She gave me the same blank confused as to why I’m not leaving, so I pressed on more as to how new patients supposed to know all of this, she said someone should have contacted me, when I asked why would someone contact me after I got a conformation, she stated I didn’t receive one or I misread the information. When I showed her the email she basically looked at her screen until I left. Then the next day some guy called me and said they had my appointment, that I should have been called, asked me to reconsider until he gaslit me saying it’s my fault their system is broken.When I started to question their system, he basically told me I was wrong, I never got the email that is right here on my phone, that I manually put the appointment on my calendar, and basically manipulated the situation to fit his needs. Then he put the blame on me for not knowing about the portal works, which is what you use to even sign up for an appointment. Then he stated “he wanted me to reconsider as long as I know not to ask questions about their broken appointment or scheduling procedures”. He basically told me it was my fault they lost, then canceled my appointment. I have to make them feel comfortable because I, being upset over this problem while standing there looking like a total fool, got upset. I have to change how I feel, to accommodate their mess up. Avoid at all costs. Doing this to someone who needs mental help is just wrong. I would avoid this place at all costs. Zero Stars, zero care, zero compassion. Not a SAFE place for people with mental health issues. Update: I’m glad you decided to change your schedule mishaps but what about the phone call from the office manager and the dismissive and rude comments and actions by your in-house staff. Do you really think anyone feels comfortable and safe after that. I don’t know if he’s involved with your receptionist or what but what that guy said to me was beyond ridiculous. Had I been able to record the phone conversation I would have reported you to the state ethics committee. No you are not a safe place. Address the issues at hand, the scheduling was just 1 part of the trauma your facility inflicted. Fix that then we can talk about resolving the issues. Funny how you by-passed that completely.”

“They cancelled my appointment one day before my appointment by email. I had no idea because I never received an email and certainly did not receive a follow up phone call. After I waited months to get an appointment. I’m a VA referral and I waited to get in for a month after going through the arduous process of getting a referral. When I arrived for my appointment all they said is well, we emailed you.. what?! You can’t rely solely on email to inform your patients, especially NEW patients about cancelations or paper work. For the record, I never received an email either. How about you don’t cancel an appointment when I didn’t fill out your new patient paper work without contacting me first via phone. I could have easily filled out the new patient paper work after I showed up for my appointment. These people say they care, but clearly they posess very little regard for their patients. Their actions prove they don’t care at all. I’m assuming they just don’t want to deal with VA patients. NOT a Veteran friendly place and wouldn’t reccomend anyone go here after my experience. Thanks for wasting my time!”
