“I have been seeing Alex for several months now and she has been a joy to work with. It has been a pleasure to find a therapist as helpful and personable as her. It has been so beneficial to work on my goals together with Alex.”

“This business was a strange experience for me. I had Laura as a therapist and kinda felt constantly gaslighted. She wouldn’t remember our sessions from one to the next which I tried to be forgiving of as I knew I was not her only client and I’m sure it’s hard to keep up with everyone but it got to the point where she wouldn’t remember and would also go so far as to argue with me about details of my own life I would share in addition to claiming that I didn’t tell her things that we had talked about during the last session. I’d bring up things we discussed and she’s often say “that never happened” I stuck with it for a bit in hopes it was just a few off sessions but after a while I became overwhelmed with the gaslighting/ being called a liar (obviously not in those words but she made it clear she felt I was not being untruthful) and so I finally decided it wasn’t a good fit. She was a very nice lady outside of that and I had very high hopes but that experience kinda ruined therapy for me. It’s definitely going to be a while before I try again, I still feel kinda awful about the whole thing. It’s hard to heal from things you don’t tell anyone about when the one person you open up to responds that way.”

“I'm not pleased with this facility at all. They are very unprofessional. We were supposed to have a virtual video appointment with Peggy during a ice storm at 6p.m. She never called or emailed us to do the appointment. Not only that, she was supposed to reschedule after the appointment that she never contacted us for. I've reached out to her more than 3 times to reschedule. Everytime, she has an excuse as to why she can't schedule right now. She gave me 3 different days that we could reschedule for. I told her April 1st, 2025 at 6p.m. would work for us perfect. She has failed to confirm the appointment. At this point we will be finding a new therapist that puts my child first. Mind you my grandma is in the hospital in Carteret County not doing well. We've been driving an hour away to visit her after working all day. I work 6 days a week running my own business and I'm a single mom. My car broke down 2 days in a row. I feel like if I can make time to try and schedule an appointment. She can make time. She makes me feel like my son is not important. My son lost his papa in May of 2024. He was like his father. He has come out and told me about some abuse he has endured before he moved in with me. My son's mental health is very important to me. But,apparently it's not important to her!!!! :(”

“Dwayne is great. Unfortunately, I can’t get in to see him. I have called and called, and the front desk staff does not answer phone calls. One would assume that maybe they’re just busy, and they’re taking other calls, but I tried on multiple occasions across many different days, and you just can’t get a person to answer the phone. It’s not going to happen. I called once while leaving Morehead, and I let the phone ring from Morehead to New Bern, and nobody answered the call. I ended up driving to the office, walking in, and initiating an appointment that way, and while standing at the front desk, a call came in, and the lady at the desk looked at the phone, pressed a button, and continued talking to me. At that point, I wondered how many times I had called and my call was simply silenced and ignored. Moving on, I had the one appointment, and it went great. Before my next one, I was called and told that there was an issue with my VA order, and that they typically get reissued automatically, and that they would call me back. Now, it’s been several weeks since that appointment, and nobody has reached out to me about my reissued orders or my next appointment. Again, I have tried to call a few times, and those calls are never answered. Finally, I drove out to the office today to check on the status of everything in person, because that’s the only way that you’ll get anything done apparently, and there was a sign in the window that read, “If nobody is seated behind the window, please have a seat and your provider will be out shortly to get you” (That might not be exactly verbatim, but that’s essentially what it says). So, I can’t get anybody on the phone during business hours, and nobody was there to help me when I went by in person during business hours. People that need help aren’t getting it, and it really is a shame, because I believe that the providers are wonderful, but I wonder if they’re aware of how much business they’re losing due to bad business practices in the front office. I’m not sure why this is the culture over there, but if you’re going to be “open” from 8am to 7pm, somebody should be available to take the calls. I went by at 4:40pm today, and nobody was behind the desk, the window was closed, and the lights were off. Maybe they went home for the day. Maybe they get off at 4pm. I don’t know. But I’ve call in the mornings and early afternoons before, and I’ve never been answered.”
